Longboard Buying Guide: Washers
Washers
Use the right washers to get the best performance out of your bushings.
Washer Selection
In order to complete your new bushing configuration, you’ll need to secure the bushings using some washers on both ends.
Barrel & Cone ("Standard") Bushing Combo
For a standard bushing combo we suggest using a large cupped washer to hold the barrel bushing in place, and a small cupped washer to hold the cone bushing in place. Cupped washers grip the bushings and reduce the "slop" in the turn. Simple as that! You’ll need a total of two large cupped washers and two small cupped washers for your board.

Double Barrel Bushing Combo
For a double barrel bushing combo you’ll want to use two large cups beneath your boardside barrel bushings and two flat washers on the outer end of your roadside bushings. If this setup feels a bit too soft, then replace the two flat washers with two large cupped washers for more restriction. You’ll need a total of four large cupped washers and two flat washers for your double barrel bushing combo.
